International Women's Day 2021
Monday, March 8th is International Women’s Day.
Check out all our IWD posts including:
Choose to Challenge, Choose to Celebrate
Gender Equity
Feminist Recovery
Why do we still need a day just to celebrate and fight for women?
Women at Work:
Women lead only 14 of 195 countries
Women make 23% less than men globally with the gap being even higher for racialized women (33%) , newcomer women (29%), and disabled women (46%).
Women run only 7% of Fortune 500 companies. In fact, there are more CEO’s name John than there are women CEO’s.
In Canada, over 1.9 million women are low-income.
We have so many reasons to celebrate.
We brought out our IWD 2020 playlist to celebrate with our favourite empower anthems.
